Our CEO

After more than 30 years in the specialty coffee industry, and 3 years at the helm of Simply Good Coffee Laura Sommers our founder and former CEO decided to retire in 2024. I joined as COO in 2022 and helped build Simply Good Coffee from the ground up, and after just a few years in the industry I realized I liked it so much and saw such potential, I took over as CEO. Since then, we’ve focused heavily on product innovation and embraced a customer-first approach. We introduced our new brew-into-Thermal Carafe model in 2024 and launched our Plastic-Free Brewer, the first of its kind in the marketplace, in 2025. One thing is for certain: our customers are passionate, knowledgeable, and know exactly what they want. We’ve built systems and processes to listen to the customer and involve them in developing new ideas and products. It is through this effort we are delivering innovation and exceptional value to home coffee brewing.
